Just remember, nothing is really "free." If you want a book from MyPublisher.com, and it's for Christmas, a birthday, a wedding, or anything that is date sensitive, I suggest you upload your order at least 6 weeks (and maybe 8) before the date you need the book in your hand. Why?

Well, if everything goes well, you may get it in a week. But things won't go well. Uploads will fail, you'll get weird error messages, you'll find the software has some really unappealing features if you happen to have created a layout and then decide to add in another picture. Time will pass. And if you DARE to send mypublisher.com an email - well, don't sit around watching the clock.

As of Dec 22, I can tell you that my email about a technical issue sent on Dec 3 remains unanswered. My Christmas order, uploaded and received there on December 9, has still not been received. If there is a Christmas miracle, MAYBE it will arrive tomorrow, and I can pay a fortune to have it sent Express Mail for delivery on Christmas Eve. If it arrives on Christmas Eve, I can pay even more to get it delivered on Christmas Day.

And what does mypublisher.com say to all this? Eventually, after almost a WEEK'S worth of unanswered emails desperately trying to get shipping details, a message saying basically that yeah, they shipped the order. Must be the Post Office's fault (ring a bell anyone? i.e. "the check's in the mail"?" - they've "heard" from people that it's now taking 5 or 6 days for Priority Mail to arrive. Of course, they're the only company in the country having that problem -- all my other vendors and family members who have sent things Priority Mail have had 3 day maximum arrivals.

Trust me - the product is OK but the service is awful. Read others' comments at http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,7187,00.asp. Has anyone use myveryspecialbook.com? I'd love to hear how the quality and service compare ... I'm seeking an alternative because I love giving personalized books, but I'd like never to deal with mypublisher.com again.
