I for one sure hope not. I definitely believe there is no substitute to being a part of a good, strong, Bible believing church. As a born again Christian, I firmly believe attending church in person and fellowshipping with likeminded believers is essential to one's development as a believer in Jesus Christ.

Internet churches and ministries are popping up all over. Many churches stream their services live over the Internet. I would say that's more of a convenience for people to stay in touch with their church at times when they are unable to attend services in person. Sick at home, away on business or whatever. The church I attend is no different. Our church's media department is working on getting a live stream of our worship services out on the Internet.

However, to take the discussion back to the late, great Jerry Falwell. I will remember him for what he was. A pastor, a minister of the gospel, and a Christian educator. He was a very effective pastor. Very articulate and well spoken.

With the sons coming into age it will be interesting to see what direction they take their father's ministies. I met Dr Falwell's son Jonathan once and he left a very positive impression on me. Things seem to be going very well down there in Lynchburg. The Rev. Jonathan Falwell, as anticipated, was installed as the new senior pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Charles Billingsley has returned to Thomas Road as the minister of music. Jerry Falwell, Jr. is the new chancellor of Liberty University.

These two appointments were foregone conclusions from what I understand. Dr. Jerry Falwell and his executive team had made preparations for his death beforehand. Those of which included naming Jonathan Falwell the new senior pastor of the church, subject to a vote of the congregation, and Jerry Jr. taking on his late father's role as chancellor of Liberty University.

OK, if you are really "in the know" about such things, then won't you please tell me exactly where I went wrong and I will gladly retract it.

For your information, I have confirmed what I wrote through several very knowledgeable sources. Jonathan Falwell was directly under his father as the Executive Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Jerry Jr. was chosen to head Liberty University. In other words, it was worked out probably years ago that Jonathan would take over for his father as the new senior pastor of TRBC and that Jerry Jr. would take over his father's role as chancellor of Liberty University.

I have never pretended to be a news reporter. I WAS a news reporter in the 1980s and I left the profession on my own volition long about 1989. Nope. Not forced out. Left on my own accord. It boiled down to the fact that I live in a community where one "has to know someone who knows someone" to get a job in the media. Especially on the family-owned daily newspaper. People come here to retire. There is very little movement personnel-wise in the local media in the community where I live. Many media people have been here 30 plus years doing the same job. I was actually a pretty good newspaperman in my day and attempted the transition to radio/television media later on. I have been employed in one aspect of sales and customer service pretty much since I left the business.

That's pretty much about me in a nutshell.

Personally, I could have insulted you right back times over for the number of times you've slammed me. But I won't stoop to your level, Ms. Lady Star. Christians aren't supposed to do that. We are to love our neighbors as ourselves. That's one of the Ten Commandments, right? We are also supposed to turn the other cheek too, correct?

You seem to have a very unforgiving spirit...just my opinion of course. When I say you're full of yourself, I would point you back to your blasted smugness. Anytime someone writes anything about PTL, Heritage USA or whatever that does not measure up 110 percent to your "facts and truthfulness" check; you're immediately in that person's face. Be it here in cyberspace or wherever.

Are you incapable of realizing that some twenty years has gone by since the downfall of PTL and the closing of Heritage USA? Or are you going to take aim at me for that quote? We are now in 2007 twenty years ago would be 1987; right about the time that everything was hitting the proverbial fan down there.

I have been a Resident here on the Property through out the Whole thing Bubba! going away back when the very first heavy duty equiptment began to move in and you and two or more others, begin to insist that " HERITAGE USA/PTL was being restored or rebuilt and avenue after avenue of homes and residentals was going up dailey, and here you DIP STICKS were lieing to people, now the place is a City within it's self.

That tells me that YOU are full of YOURSELF and don't really give a HOOT what you tell the people, I have not LIED in my Posts I have always been truthful and still am and will continue to be.

I simply have a distain for people who would climb a rope to tell a lie before they would stand flat footed on the ground and tell the truth.

Well...you have made some good points and I will concede most of them. I honestly don't think I have deliberately lied about anything. It seems to me that you've taken on the roles of judge, jury and executioner here. How dare you judge me so? My Bible says that only God can judge people.

I freely admit that some of my posts haven't been exactly on target and when I have been so notified, I have moved quickly to correct any errors that I had inadvertently made as well as to retract any incorrect information. However, have I outright lied about anything I have posted in these or other forums? No way.

You know, I could have insulted you right back for all the times you have insulted and slammed me in these and other threads. But I won't come down to your level. As a Christian, I am to love my neighbors as I would myself. That's one of the Ten Commandments, right? I am also supposed to turn the other cheek, correct?

I'm real glad and happy that you are very content living on the property down there. At least you are able to see for yourself first hand the developments that are going on down there. I'm just so glad to see that God's work is once again being done there. I don't know how you could disagree with me about that.

I beg your pardon Bubba, It has been ONLY the FRUIT which I have " JUDGED " and my Bible says that it is " BY THE FRUIT YE SHALL KNOW THEM " and so it has been by the FRUIT OF LIES and the MANY Ouotes of others which published only for the purpose of filling their DEEP pockets that I have been able to distinguish LIE after LIE after LIE which to me is BAD FRUIT and should be identified as such therefore I call it such.

As far as you DIP STICKS equating this place with Heritage USA/PTL now, would be same as equating a single drop of water with being the Niagara Falls
and insofar as your continued referring to the " Movement " taking place here Folks believe it not!! other than for the Home Builders/Developers throwing up one Subdivision after the other.....the so called " Movement " is nearly ZERO
and not breaking no sweat, everyone who possable can, should come and see for themselves, just who it is that is being untruthful about the place.

"God's work " may be being done but not the way it is or has been promoted as being.....It's a whole different ball of wax believe me!!
