HERITAGEUSA Yahoo Group
Just a suggestion...
Can the next person that starts a group over there actually keep it going without locking up the boards and holding the members hostage? The last time there was a message board, the guy just shut it down one day so everyone had to scramble until a new board came around. Then a new board comes around and the guy ticked off a lot of people by deleting photos that were scanned from PTL saying it was copyrighted, etc. Yet somehow that doesn't apply to him offering free downloads of copyrighted music. And who hasn't been to a Yahoo Group that doesn't have over half the images scanned from some perodical? Anyhow, these last 2 guys from what I understand have never even been on Heritage USA grounds. So... whoever does the next group, can you be a little normal please! |

Isn't S&M something too?

Sorry But You Are Mistaken!

Nasdun: My name is Todd Barwick and I am the founder of the Yahoo! Heritage USA group (a.k.a. one of the "last 2 guys" - as you call us). I'm not sure where you received your information, but I am a native of South Carolina and I have been on the Heritage USA grounds on countless occasions - while the PTL ministry was still in operation - as well as recently. Our group members know this. In fact, they also know that I personally took many of the pictures in our group's photo albums. I've shopped in the shops of Main Street, I've prayed on the grounds, I've attended tapings of the PTL Club shows. I am quite familiar with Heritage USA. Just wanted to correct your misinformation. Should you have any further questions about me or my group, don't hesitate to contact me personally and I will be glad to answer you. My e-mail address is toddbarwick@yahoo.com Thanks, Todd |

Speaking of Lady Star, did she ever come back from Blue Eye, MO? I wanted to hear how her trip to Morningside went. I thought of her last week when watching The Jim Bakker Show (with Rick Joyner as guest). Jim must have proclaimed at least a half dozen times that "Heritage USA was restored!" I could picture Lady Star in the audience just cringing. |

Show just one photo you took pre-March 1987. Just one. I'm just going by something I read you posted a long while back about not really knowing much about the place in its hey day.
And it's still weird for 2 grown men without much affiliation at all with PTL when it existed to start 2 different message boards and then hold them hostage. Praying on the grounds or not. And the next time either one of you PTL "fans" decide you don't want to mess with the Yahoo Group you have on there then let someone else take over instead of giving some screwy story about you having to pray about it. That's about as odd as the other guy's obsession with Tammy Faye's death. It was almost like he wanted to rent out Time Square and have a special countdown for at least the last year or 2. Sad. Very sad. And weird. |

Hi Nasdun! I'm not certain that I have any photos "pre-March 1987" as you requested. If I do, they aren't in a digital format because I didn't own a digital camera back then. If it's that important to you, I'll be glad to check my giant box of photographs on a closet shelf and let you know. I was a senior in high school back in March 1987. I do remember the first time I visited Heritage USA. I was in Charlotte with my parents who were on a business trip. We stayed at what was then called the Royce Hotel on I-77 at Tyvola Road. My dad and I attended the taping of the PTL Club show. We sat toward the back, but you could make us out in the audience. I actually have that episode on VHS tape. I purchase the PTL coffee table book at the bookstore on Main Street, as well as a cassette of Tammy Sue's "Sixteen," a cassette of Tammy Faye's "Enough is Enough" as well as the accompanying musical songbook so that I could play her songs on the piano. I was just so very excited to visit Heritage USA after watching the Jim & Tammy Show and Tammy's House Party for many years. So sorry that you feel that I held MY Yahoo! group "hostage." Are you a member? I never took the board down - it was always there. Members still had free access to the files, the database, the photo albums, the polls, etc. The board is moderated - which means I (or my moderator) must approve every post. I simply wasn't accepting message postings for a time, so the only thing that members couldn't do was post a message. The Yahoo! group is MY group and with all due respect, I can do with it as I wish. I started it as a hobby - MY hobby. Members are free to come and go as they please. If they don't like some aspect of the group, they are certainly welcome to leave. I'm excited that so many people have enjoyed the group and have chosen to become active participants in it. Moderating the group does take lots of time, and as we all know in today's hectic world, time is a precious commodity. I created the group because of my interest in Heritage USA. I never expected that it would become such a blessing to so many, and for that I am very thankful. My blessings to you, Todd |

Again, has anyone happened to hear from Lady Star? Last she wrote she was heading to Blue Eye, Missouri to check out things at Jim Bakker's show and Morningside. Maybe she bought a condo and decided to stay.
Also, there was a wonderful God-fearing Christian lady that I used to converse with on and off by the name of Margie Lou Jones. Does anyone know Margie Lou's whereabouts? I'd love to chat with her again. |

I haven't heard from her. Probably just as well. Speaking of The Jim Bakker Show, their last telecast originating from Branson, Mo. will be on December 14th according to the Jim Bakker Show website. Their operation will be moved to Blue Eye, Mo. and the Morningside complex shortly after that. |

Well... it's been over 3 months now. Did you manage to get that big bad box of photos down from the closet shelf yet?
And it doesn't matter if you can do what you please with that Yahoo Group. That was my whole point. What kind of weird middle aged guys start groups on Yahoo about a topic like Heritage USA, etc. and then act as if it is them that is keeping it going. Act like you created something that is all yours. If it was your own personal writings that would be one thing, but not a topic like Heritage. And it isn't yours, it belongs to Yahoo. Oh, and one other thing. I don't think anyone had digital cameras back in 1987, but I'm sure you already figured that one out by now. |
