DOS version of SOKOBAN
Hello! I'm new here, and I hope someone will be able to assist me.
I am looking for the original DOS version of SOKOBAN which came out in - I think - the 1980's somewhere. Unfortunately, due to various factors, my game became corrupt, but I know it was linked to the PTL Club in some way. There was also something about 'total anarchy' and a telephone number, but being in South Africa, it would be prohibitive to try and contact this number. Anyone able to help, please? I'd be exceedingly grateful for any information. Thanks. |

Sorry for the late reply... but here you go:
http://www.gjallarhorn.org/abandon/sokoban.html When searching for old software, a good word to remember is "abandonware". I found this by using TIW's search engine to search for: +abandonware +sokoban The + signs "require" the word to be located in the pages returned. The addition of the word abandonware helped to focus the search on sites that talk about discontinued games and software. Enjoy! |

Looks like that link is dead... this one has been verified to work:
http://hyperion.spaceports.com/~adente/games.htm Just scroll down to the S section for the game. Make sure you say "NO!" when asked if you want to set your homepage to theirs. ![]() |

Re: Sokoban
My grateful thanks, AM, for the time and trouble taken to help! This is the exact version of the game I've been looking for, so I hope I can get it to work - and if so, save it to CD-ROM for furure use/installing.
God bless! |
