Greg,
I am the head of Don's Fan Club. If you like I can send you a 8X10 autographed head shot of Don. It is a really nice photo...air brushed and all.
Man could I really run with this....not.

Wow

I take a couple of days off from computers, pagers, and cell phones and look what I get. Nothing but heartache. Hey, ole buddy, I've got a really cool pic of you and Gene S getting ready to testify in federal court. Talk about a cool pic. It was taken in that hot dog place across from the courthouse. See ya, I'm off to ebay.

Believe it or not while that time was a very rough road I have pretty good memories of the "gang"...Everybody looking at each other like...do you believe this? (actually other words came to mind but this is the G version)

Hey can you scan it and e-mail to me or do I have to buy it off of ebay?
I have absolutley no photo's from that time...I was too busy working.

..."pagers"? They still make them things...lol.

I've got some cool boat pics. I've got one of five guys skiing behind the boat. I think all of them are famous now except for one. I'll get them together over the weekend. Video too.

Hey guys

Brad & Don. I'm seriously a big fan of both you guys. I was wondering what the two of you are up to these days? Are you working for ministries again or not. I'm new to the sites so sorry if these questions have already been asked. Also I was wondering what a normal day on your jobs was like. I have met you both. Brad I met you at a Mornigstar conference and you were with Steve Thompson. I don't remember you woring at the hotel but I thought you were bodyguard for Rev Dortch. Don I met you when you spoke at Morningstar over at the other building and had a picute made after. I see you at chruch on Sunday but have not been able to get to you befere you are gone.

Joe,
I worked at the Grand before and after I worked for Dortch. I was the GM of the Grand/Waterpark, etc. after Falwell left and then during bankruptcy. I left in 89' shortly after Hugo hit....lived like a heather for a couple of years while I was in mourning.
I moved to S. FL in 91' to work for a broadcast ministry. Have been here ever since. Married with 7 children. Very involved with both my broadcast ministry and am ordained through my church and very active in growing our Cell ministry and helping lead our prophetic ministries.
www.christianfm.com is my website.
Forgive me but I don't remember a Joe. Did you work at HUSA?
Oh yeah...there were no "normal" days on my job.

Thanks Brad

I was too young to work but my mother worked the prayer phones. I didn't appreciate it to much at that age. She also did a lot of volunteer work. My father traveled and was not around much so I sort of grew up hanging around at Heritage. I was there almost every day during summer. My mother had a lot of friends so I had to play in the back where you guys worked. Me and some friends used to pretend we were you guys. Everybody alwasy wanted to be Don. We were scared to death of him back then but now that I'm not a little kid he doesn't seem so threatening. Funny what you remember isn't it. I remember you were so tall and always had a business face. If you don't mind me askng, how did you get your job? I think I remember you hanging around Eric Watt.

Mr Joe

So you were one of those bratty little kids running around back stage. Who put the rocks in the ice bowl? I know you know. Not sure I remember you but welcome to the group. Hope you learned some things hanging around back stage. I learned a lot from Brad. Actually everything I know. I am currently working in healthcare (non-clinical) and love it. The company I work for owns hospitals across the country. I still do consulting in the executive protection field which is a nice diversion from healthcare. Like Brad, I had no normal days. Besides anybody can be normal. Who wants that? Email me direct and I will give you some ideas about how our days went. Don't want to bore the group. Were you at Morningstar today? Rick Joyner made some pretty cool announcements. One was that all 500 rooms in the old Heritage Grand would be completed by the end of the month. It is so cool to see that building come to life once again.

I remember some kids running around back stage but it is funny because I was one of those kids in the early, early days of PTL. My parents helped J & T in the early days and I would run the property (Park Rd) with neighborhood friends. I am sure at some point Don was chasing us...lol. (bet you didn't know that Don???) It was people like your Mother and my parents that made PTL what it was.
I am assuming you are asking...how I got my job for Dortch? That is a long story but I guess it can be summed up with this. I truly believe it was the Lord's timing. While that position maybe was born out of a bad circumstance I know God raises up and sets down who He will...I realize that in the end God had me there to "minister" to all those people we had to let go when things began crumbling. Wondering where God was and why this was happening. Anyway, like Don if you want to know more details e-mail me.

Don't let Don's humility fool you. I actually learned a lot more from Don than he from me. He showed me the ropes and welcomed me into that environment. I was just one of many...there is no other DH.

That is cool to hear about the Grand. Just seeing pictures brings up a lot of good emotions in me. I am thinking about bringing a couple of my older children up to a conference in the next year or so. I look forward to seeing the progress.

New Carpet

The first thing I noticed when I entered the old Grand was new carpet. It looks really good. They are doing a fantastic job restoring the building. It is now taking on the personality of Morningstar and shedding it's old personality which has been a really cool thing to watch. After a two year search, I think I've found a new church home. The old main street will open soon and I can't wait to see how it has been restored. I am amazed at the amount of work that has been completed during the month of July. Even though the tower was not mentioned Sunday, it is really exciting to think about it coming to life once again also.

Brad, love the web site. It must be interesting to work for the media. I had lunch with my mom on Sunday and let her know I had contacted you and Don. She had a big smile on her face. She is now in nursing home. She spoke of your dad and what a kind man he was. I don't remember that far back but wish I could. I am like you becasue all my memories are mostly good ones. I too was very confused for several years after "the fall". It is something mh mom will still not speak about. Don, thanks for writing me back. Mom told me about the time our car broke down and she had no way to get home and Helen Hedley came and found you and you got us home. I kind of got a confession to make. One day I pretended to have been dropped off by my mom and told a security guard I had nothing to eat. He let me ride aroudn with him and also got me a nice lunch at McMooses. He took me to the building that the security guards worked in and they all adopted me for teh whole day. I had never had so much attention in my life. One of the ladies in your office realized who I was and boy was I in trouble. But she did not tell anyone and she let me stay. She never told my mom. I never did that again.
