Hi All:

Interesting reading all this bantering back and forth. I believe I have the identity of Lady Star narrowed down to one of two people:

Tammy Faye Bakker-Messner

or

Tammy Sue Bakker

I mean its fairly simple. Both Tammys are of course ladies. Tammy Faye was one of the stars of the PTL Club, which was later renamed the Jim and Tammy program.

Tammy Sue became a star in her own right when she started singing on her parents' television program.

Thus, Lady Star...makes perfect sense to me!

You don't have to get sarcastic about it. I think it's quite obvious now that you are neither Tammy Faye or Tammy Sue. So, I'm not much of a detective, I guess. By the way, other people not just me had made the same conclusions about the Bakker ladies.

Anyway, this was just an attempt at some good, clean fun. I certainly meant no offense to you or anyone. But I do find it highly curious that you continue to insist upon maintaining your anonymity. If you have nothing to hide, then why not let people in on your secret?

I visited and registered specifically for information regarding the property that once was Heritage USA. CMG - I am wondering if you will share information as part of this thread or privately regarding your contact in the attempt to purchase the remaining property and details of the resistance that you met. I was on my way to a baseball game last Wednesday and drove through the old property as much as I could when the game was rained out. I had last gone through in 2001 and stumbled upon the remains of a house. It still had some of the old furniture and looked as though workmen had recently been there. I am wondering if anyone knows the address of that residence and if it still stands today. The grounds were in a state of disrepair, but I think that now all of the roads to it are closed to vehicluar traffic. Has anyone gone hiking through the space down those closed roads lately? Most of them are near the campground. Thanks for any assistance that you may be able to offer.

I am replying to your request for information concerning The FORMER Heritage USA/ PTL Property.

The Grand Hotel, the unfinished Towers the unfinished Castle the Old General Store Building on the opposite side of the road and some surrounding acreage belong to Morningstar Fellowship Church doing business as Heritage International Ministries, at this location. ( They own a total of 52 acres )

All the other property and structures including the former Water Park belongs to a Fort Mill Real Estate Developer, Earl Coulston who does business under several different entitie names on the property depending on the particuliar Subdivision he is developing.

I can not imagine what house you are talking about unless it is one of the old cabins near the abandoned burned out Heritage Inn.

As far as the closed roads you mention, they are closed to keep traffic out of the area they are clearing for new roads through the property for the new residential subdivisions to be developed there and as far as " Hiking " that would be trespassing on private property althought I expect that some people would have little enough regard for the property rights of others to do it.

I have never visited Heritage U.S.A. but I wish it would be brought back to life. I was a fan of Jim and Tammy Faye and am a Christian. I know what they did was wrong but why should we lose a good place that promotes Christianity.I feel that we don't have enough places. I personally would like to see Heritage come back from the ashes.

On Sunday May 15th, I listened to the testimony of Wanda, the woman who used to head up HR at Heritage USA. She had written a coffee table book about heritage USA and shared how it was now an embarassment for her because of all the bad things that happened. She had felt betrayed and knew that God brought it down to cleanse the church. She also shared how God had been healing her over the years from the massive pain of the experience. She even visited there a week ago. Today, Wanda is extremely compassionate and runs the encouragement groups at a church of 5,000 people in the Chicagoland area. I have been under her ministry and have personally received the testimony of 22 people this years whose lives have been changed by this ministry.

On Monday May 16th, God impressed on my heart that He was going to redeem Heratige USA and I was to be a part of it - but I didn't know what that meant yet. I opened up discussions with Wanda about it and I shared how it would be done in a way that would bring healing and redemption to the church.

On Tuesday May 17th, God impressed on my heart that I was to research Heritage USA. I saw a satelite picture of the property and recent photos. My spirit was immediately energized and God reminded me that He has been preapring me all my life for such a time as this.

Today, Wednesday May 18th, I was sharing with someone at work about a dream I had last night about rebuilding Heritage USA and participating in rehabilitating the place in a program called "120 days of redemption." In the dream hundreds of people showed up to help. Many churches sent funds and bus loads of people. ABC covered the event. And, several other things happened that I'm not ready to share.
The result was healing for the church and thousands of hurting people. It was all based on ministry, not man's glory. It started as a simple grassroots movement.

So, I shared with my associate how God had laid a Nehemiah type project on my heart and she wanted to know more. I told her to go to Google, but instead she went to Yahoo. There I saw that this blog existed and I felt compelled to share what has been happening.

After reading many of the entries, I'm convinced that God is doing something very special.
