Definitely come on over to the Yahoo! group. Just sign into Yahoo and click on the Groups function. Then type in HERITAGEUSA in one string and in all caps and that will land you on the group's home page.

The group is moderated and all requests to join the group have to be approved for acceptance. Therefore, the group moderators reserve the right to reject any material that is not pertinent to the discussion at hand.

Thanks Rick for the invite. I've looked the site over and it seems to be a very nice site. I like the fact that it is moderated. It is a shame that we can't have a free exchange here. I will join up if accepted.

It's not so much that a certain person, who shall remain nameless, has to be so smug when replying to messages left by other people; but obviously that person's got some issues to deal with. That said, by all means do come visit the Yahoo! group. You will be pleasantly surprised. As far as getting accepted on the Yahoo! group goes, it's a fairly routine matter. The board owner has set certain criteria that he strictly follows. I'm a moderator in that group. People that are most likely to get rejected are people who have "adult-only" Yahoo! profiles.

Yes by all means Heritage Lt, AKA/ "Former PTL'ER " after all that is where you find all the fiction articles as you well know already! so when you get to hankering for lots of RAW FICTION just hurry right over to Heritageusa yahoo group, I can in all sincerity verify you will be sure to find a good portion of raw fiction waiting there for you.
TRY IT YOU MIGHT LIKE IT.....I THINK YOU MOST CERTAINLY DO!!!

Lady Star I think the root of bitterness is growing in you. I consider myself in good company being criticized by you. I'm just sorry for you. My events about JB are true and not fiction. No matter what you say you can't change that. Jim was a good man not perfect.

Yes Sir I sincererly agree with your acessment of Jim to a point and degree and NO he was not perfect Sir, there's only been one perfect man whose presence graced our earth and we know what they did to him.....they drove nails through his hands and feet and hung him on a cross for my sins...your sins...the whole world's sins.

I was beginning to wonder for a while if they were going to stop short of doing the same with Jim.

Regardless....of what you choose to think of me ( seeing as how you DON'T know me ) is not important AT ALL, Jim has never been given sufficent credit as far as positive credit is concerned, perhaps that will happen when we each one stand before the JUDGE OF ALL JUDGES......I HOPE!!!
In the mean time please let's all be honest, tell the truth as God knows it to be, and simply do what we each CAN do to help the Ministry which is trying to get started there and stop calling or referring to the place as " HERITAGE USA/PTL " THE PLACE IS NO LONGER THAT at all and never will be!!!!

TRUTH IS SO REWARDING AND FULFILLING!

Lady Star why do you attack attack attack. I have told the truth and yet you jumped on me just like everybody else. Why? You called me somebody else. Why? Becasue I dare to defend JB or talk good about him? He was PTL. Yet you seem to like him. You don't know me either. I admit I don't know hyou but I know what you write. Is it all about the word "restore"? Do you not believe JB can be restored just like the former Heritage USA. Jim has been restored and is a very different person. I think Heritage is being restored but is a very different place. Do we agree on this? This is on Morningsides website.
Christian competition

The Heritage resort has recently been restored, Bakker said.

"It's just wonderful to see it being restored," Bakker said, "but Morningside -- the thing that's unique
is the Crawfords are building it, so I haven't had to raise the money."

But Morningside will be competing with the South Carolina attraction that also has a themed Main
Street with shops and meeting space. Also, the Rev. Jerry Falwell is planning a resort with
time-shares, skiing and golf near the campus of his Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.

So, do you disagree with JB's own words too? I am not trying to argue with you but just understand what your point is. Everybody knows it is HIM ministry now. But the property certainly is being restored and is beautiful. And also I am not joining the yahoo thing. They are allowing residents from the area to criticize Rick Joyner and I don't agree with that. For a monitored site I thougt it would be more positive. I wonder why the residents didn't check the area they were buying in to before they bought houses out there. Lady Star please feel free to agree or disagree but please keep the pepper spray in your purse.

HeritageLt., how do you feel we are being critical of Rick Joyner on the HERITAGEUSA group on Yahoo! Groups? As far as I can tell, we've been nothing but respectful of the gentleman. If you're seeing something that I am not seeing; please by all means let us know.

God bless,

The only perceived negative about the Yahoo Group that I can see in relation to this current topic is that articles were posted from area publications stating some local residents positions on The Towers...not anyone in the Groups position. NO ONE (members) have been negative on HIM.

I was speaking from seeing the site once at a friends house who is a member. I read through a few posts and it just wasn't for me. I did read a post that had commentary from a resident that was not positive about Rick. Just seemed a little weird to me. Don't mean to be negative about the monderators. They can pass through what they want. Maybe it was just me. Not trying to discourage anyone else from joining,

Yes...that quote was from an article that was cut and pasted into that groups forum. In an effort to keep that forum topical and relevant many, many articles are posted whether good, bad or indifferent. I can stay, without hesitation that this group is VERY positive about Rick's involvement.

OK, maybe I did not understand what I was reading. Not intending to disagree. I enjoy remembering the good stuff and letting all the other stuff go. We all sure did not get rich working there (or most of us) but I have very rich memories of the group I worked with and of Jim and Tammy. It is so sad that people are separated because of bad decisions of others. But that is life. If life was fair Elvis would be alive and all the impersonators dead.

Mostly all good memories here too. The site that we were talking about put a link to WBTV in Charlotte last week as they were in sweeps weeks and were doing a week long piece on "PTL 20 years later". It brought back a lot of good memories. Now after 25 years in full time ministry and being a preachers kid...ministry is/was and always will be a battle. This is why one must know he/she is called...now give me another jelly donut.

Thanks for the nice words. That's one thing about me. What you see is what you get. I have never once attempted to portray myself in any sort of an untruthful manner.

Yes, I freely admit that I have a lot of dated recollections about PTL, Heritage USA, the Bakkers, etc. However, in the relatively brief time (about the last three years or so) I have been studying up on this subject and being a part of two discussion groups on the PTL/Heritage USA subject; I believe I am learning enough about what truly happened down there.

I know Lady Star will probably want to argue with me about what I've said here, but that's cool. Rather than respond negatively, I choose to bless her in Jesus name! Whoever she is.

I don't believe anyone can dispute the fact that PTL did so much good for many, many people. Thousands if not millions of lives were somehow impacted through the PTL ministry. Many, many babies were spared from an abortionist's knife. Thousands of people received gifts of clothing and food through the People That Love Centers. Thousands of marriages were restored...we could go on and on...there just isn't enough room to even begin to list absolutely each and every life-impacting, life changing thing that happened. But folks, it all had one common focus. To give glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

All I know is this. God has me involved with these groups for a reason. I may never know what the reason is until I meet Jesus in Heaven.

Rick Joyner and his team at MorningStar Ministries/Heritage International Ministries (HIM) have been appointed and anointed by God to take up the mantle of leadership. It is so exciting to see the reports of the restoration efforts.

I most definitely agree with Lady Star that this all won't be Heritage USA as it was. I don't think I ever left anyone with the impression that what was once Heritage USA will be completely restored as the way it was. If I somehow have given anyone that kind of an impression, clearly it was never my intention to do so and I certainly apologize. God has obviously given Rick Joyner and the MorningStar team a brand new vision for this property; and God is leading them in this new direction.

It's also good to see many ministries are involved in the work down there. Sabrina Coulston and Flames of Fire have been working in restoring the old Barn Auditorium.

It is such a blessing to see things come together once again. Give glory to God!!

God's blessings to all ...
Rick
