Burned
Quote:
I know; sad! Well, I pulled some copper out of the ruins of one of the burned buildings. I don't know for sure that it was that one. But in 53 years of my life I had never been arrested till then. Now it will haunt me for the rest of my life. I am now labeled, of all things, a criminal, because of a SC runt whom the local paper called a hot tempered individual. Because he evidently showed his true character at a town meeting where people were dissapointed about his honesty and performance. Well, once upon a time I built a boat. It was a cedar strip canoe. It was a beautiful work to behold. And it took many hours to make. But one day I decided to make a square stern out of it and mount an electric motor on it. I took it to Mountain Island Lake and launched it. I was happily trolling around when a Ranger pulled me over. (A little humor there.) He gave me a ticket. I was numb. I didn't know that an electric motor constituted the legal description of motor. I didn't have a clue. I hadn't spent any time in a boat in my whole life. To add insult to injury, and reveal his character, he told me that if I hadn't cut the end of the boat to make a square stern, he would have taken the boat for his own. He should go and apply to Coulston. They would go well together. I have to live with something that shouldn't be. I have to live with something that brings tears to my eyes. Vulgar people on an ego trip who already think they are better than me, now have an excuse to arrest first, and question later, based on this simple slight which I cannot wash off. And as far as I am concerned, I had my Lord's permission (though I didn't have coulston's). And neither do I, nor have I vandalized, or broken and entered, but have found scraps (except for this incident) at perfectally acceptable places, like dumpsters. You know, I went to Morningstar's and asked them if I could have stuff they had already placed in the dumpster. They refused. Moreover they fibbed. They said that they had discarded nothing recyclable. I certainly didn't test or tempt them. And what is with 'Christians' nowadays? Rude, crude, selfish, but able to "Praise the Lord!" But coulston wasn't available to ask, and I didn't in my wildest think that he would do what he did. But like I said, the local paper gave a description of how he is. I just was somehow unlucky to think it was ok. Reap sir, according as you have sewn. Perhaps your soul may yet be saved. |

Hi all. Been a while since I checked in. Todd Barwick and I have been busy with two Heritage USA/PTL related groups. One is on Yahoo and the other is on Facebook.
God bless, Rick |

Glad to see all of the support for the Upper Room. I pray daily that Earl & Sabrina Coulston will locate a ministry or an individual who is willing to lead forth an effort to restore this facility and reopen it for the purchase for which it was intended. Has Brother Earl considered donating the building to a worthy ministry as a tax writeoff? I think that would be a wonderful idea! The Coulstons are such good Christian people. I know that it is their desire that it be saved as well. Praying for some good things to happen here. Thank you Earl & Sabrina.
