Jack,
I enjoy reading your comments but would have to dissagree with how it is to be done. I understand your being uncomfortable with the idea that I say I know this is God's will. At times I have to do a reality check to make sure I hear what I am saying and that it is true. While it is true that many things have been done in the name of God, we must not turn our ear away from His voice in our life. I am not exclusive to the hearing of God's voice in my life. If we are His sheep, we can know the shepards voice. Just like my son knows my voice in a crowd, we too can know God's voice among the crowd. So I do believe this is God's will and will say that with the most respect possible. The way in which we are to begin is different than any other I know. There are many national ministers that I love and respect, but the fact is, it hasn't been done yet. I believe that God is putting this in the hearts of many people, a unity of direction and purpose. So that He may receive the glory. I know there are hundreds of ways to accomplish anything. The key is to do this God's way. So while I dissagree with the premise that it would take a well-known minister, I do enjoy this forum of open discussion of the central issue....Restoring Heritage USA! Sincerely, Keith Smith

Thank You
I want to take a moment to thank Keith Smith for responding to
the questions I posted the other day. I am also glad to see his group is holding weekly meetings, and it certainly appears that he and his group are serious about wanting to purchase the former Heritage USA property and lead the restoration process. In a potential transaction this large, it is quite understandable that certain details cannot be made public up front. |

Heritage USA
It seems that Keith Smith and the Regent Park people are diametrically opposed to each other. They both have intentions and agendas, yet are going in different directions. From the comments made on these sites, they both could have Gods intentions with them. I wonder if they speak to each other?
That would be nice to read about, Keith Smith and the head of Regent Park having dialogue. This is something to pray about. The beginning of a dialogue between them. That would be the miracle that Heritage USA needs right now. - JT |

I believe God does speak to his people.
Thank you for your comments Keith. Please understand I would never say God isn't leading you .I do believe God speaks to SOME of his sheep. The ones who are truly seeking him with their whole heart. For as the Word says " If I hold iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me ". It takes most Christians a long time if ever not to hold iniquity, not to hold on to pet sins, I'm 48 now and really on recently did I stop making excuses and realized I could no longer live with one foot in the world, doubting God and making excuses . Fortunately I found a great church with a great Pastor who loves God . It's great when you can strive for holiness with other serious belivers but ultimatly it comes down to a one on one relationship with the Lord. No one can do it for us. .. When I E-mailed you awhile back Keith I asked for a more detailed explanation of your plans to revive Heritage because I really want to see that happen. You emailed me what you had posted. I believe God expects his sheep to make informed choices . There are decievers out there and everyday Christians have a conversation with themselves and call it God. So the only way Keith I know of to find out about what God has called you to is ask. I have certainly not ruled out standing behind you if God touched my heart. Besides in order to pray effectivly we have to know some ( not all ) of the specifics. .. JT . I found what you said interesting. What is Regent Parks plans ? I imagine all homes. Rick - You seem like a wonderful brother in the Lord but I think you get nervous when the conversation turns to substance. I smiled when you revealed that you were a moderator in another Heritage group. Sometimes moderators try to stop the flow of conversation reducing a club or thread to inconsequential chit chat. Whereas I agree some material should be emailed and some stuff is gossip to stay away from, I don't think we need to have a spirit of fear in discussing important issues. The world thinks we are nuts anyway ! Keith I agree that God can use someone other than Jim Bakker or another well known Preacher. However the effort does need a leader with a gift for capturing people's imaginations while being rooted in the Word of God. In this day and age you do need TV to fill a Christian theme park, Jim Bakker had the ability to look in the camera and get you excited about finding Fort mill and coming to Heritage. Falwell and Cerullo did not. When you don't have that look what happens. They stop coming ! I would hope that any effort to reopen Heritage would not be hostile to Jim Bakker. He built it and has been through the fire of repentance. I remind you back in the old days one of Jim's major flaws was he resented anyone who asked probing questions. In the Shepard book " Forgiven " page 122 he writes , " when Bakker stood and declared ' the Lord told me ' others were powerless to object . The invocation of God's name could cover all sorts of excesses, " So ... inorder to avoid those mistakes the ministry goals have to be clear to all. This way coupled with prayer Christians will know if Third day revival is good soil. Jackster20032003@yahoo.com

New Heritage USA pictures
I noticed that a new Website with pictures about Heritage USA has
gone up at http://www.pbase.com. Here is the direct link to the photos: http://www.pbase.com/gallery?gallery_id=2033720 Both members and guests are allowed to post comments into the topic's forum. It looks like the site has only been up for a few weeks, judging from the recent dates of the posts. |

I agree

Welcome abouard Godhandmaiden! Absolutely God has restored Jim Bakker. He has come out of this experience an even better man of God. He and his wife Lori Graham-Bakker seem to be very happy and are doing well with their new ministry in Branson, Mo. It is on the web at http://www.jimbakkershow.com. They host a daily television program from what is called the Studio City Cafe. It isn't available on television locally in my area; but I have caught it on streaming video on the web. The show appears to be much of a reinvented PTL Club/Jim and Tammy show format. The show is on daily on the web on The Christian Television Network. http://www.ctnonline.com. Missouri developer's plans for new Bakker TV studio
To: TammyFaye@Yahoogroups.com, "JimBakkerPTLYesterdayandToday"
<JimBakkerPTLYesterdayandToday@yahoogroups.com> From: "R Bell" <lovespirit2@sbcglobal.net> Add to Address Book Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2005 04:15:02 -0600 Subject: [JimBakkerPTLYesterdayandToday] Christian-themed community, with Jim Bakker at center, planned Associated Press BLUE EYE, Mo. - A Branson developer plans to build a Christian- themed residential community, with televangelist Jim Bakker's new broadcast studio as the centerpiece. Developer Jerry Crawford and his wife, Dee, have purchased 590 acres just north of Blue Eye where a short-lived theme park called Camelot was built in 1994. Blue Eye is along the Missouri-Arkansas border, about 30 miles south of Branson, where Bakker currently tapes his television show. The planned development, called Morningside at Blue Eye, will offer affordable housing and an environment conducive to such activities as Bible study and counseling, Dee Crawford said. "We've never gone into a project without edifying the Lord," Dee Crawford said. "Our heart's desire is to make something that's accessible for the people who need it." But Jerry Crawford said faith will not be a requirement to buy into the development. Crawford, who has projects in several states, said he bought the property adjacent to Blue Eye six months ago from an owner in Texas. The Camelot theme park at the site operated for only three weeks before it was abandoned. The developers disappeared, and lenders foreclosed on the property. Crawford asked the Blue Eye Board of Trustees on Thursday to annex the property. He said he thought the proposed development could bring taxes into Blue Eye, a town of 130 people that gets its only revenue from state gasoline taxes and franchise agreements. Mayor Jerry Kerns said the board could approve an annexation ordinance at its next meeting on Feb. 10. And if the property is developed, city officials might vote on a sales tax, he said. Crawford said the first phase of Morningside will be a four-story complex with 30 condominiums surrounding "Main Street," a climate- controlled atrium with shops, a food court and a TV studio for Bakker. The Crawfords will bankroll the estimated $6.5 million for the first phase, Jerry Crawford said. Ultimately, the Crawfords plan to build a variety of homes including a gated area for more upscale residences. Nature trails and water features are planned, and Crawford hopes to build a residential care facility and an RV park on the property. The Crawfords are longtime devotees of Bakker, who came to Branson in 2002 at their behest. Morningside will not be a time-share community, and Bakker has no financial stake in the project, Jerry Crawford said. Bakker's PTL Ministries in South Carolina was closed in 1989 after he and other ministry officials were convicted and sent to prison for mail fraud. He was released from prison in 1995 after serving five years and came to Branson in 2002 at the Crawfords' invitation. The Crawfords also own the Studio City Cafe, a Branson building they rent to Bakker. Bakker said he believes viewers from around the country will still find him in Blue Eye. "I'll do seminars, workshops, Bible study, restoration," Bakker said. "I think it will work out better in the countryside. It'll be a destination where people live, retire. I studied the Bible the whole time I was in prison, so my heart is really in teaching now." Information from: Springfield News-Leader, http://www.springfieldnews-leader.com |

Re: PTL Bible
Roboko;
If you are refering to the PTL first Edition with the red back It is extremely doubtful that there is one to be had. When Regent Carolina Corp. sold the former GOODIE BARN building which housed a PTL Clothing outlet to a building material recycler they gave all of the contents of the building which at that time contained mostly PTL Memorabilia, tapes, books, Etc. to Roe Messner ( several residents and friends here helped load the trucks ) and he took it away. You might try contacting : www.tammyfaye.com and inquire if she has one. You might also contact : www.jimbakkershow.com or the Ministry Office at 417-339-4333 and inquire if he has one he might be willing to part with. Good luck in your quest! Ladystar
