Hello Folks!

I am Lady Star and I am happy to have found this forum, I hope to be a regular visitor, and become well aquainted.

As someone who has been well aquainted with PTL/HERITAGE USA since it was located on Park Road in Charlotte, NC and have been a Supporter and Partner down through the years, my Husband and I have long been admirers of the place as well as Jim and Tammy Bakker.

We sincerely appreciated them both for yielding to the call and Vision that God gave them, and YES we feel the call and vision was given and placed upon them and no one else.
Therefore....when you see a posting from Lady Star you will know that I have and always will be, a strong advocate and believer in the PTL concept.

I will be looking forward to my future visits to this Forum and seeing lots of FACTUAL Posts.

Hello my friends,

Eight years ago I was told I had colon cancer. The day before my birthday I had surgery. It was successful and I celebrated my birthday, March 7th, with my doctors and my husband and friends at Eisenhower Hospital in Palm Springs, CA where we lived at the time.

A few days ago I learned that I once again have cancer. This time my doctors say I have lung cancer. I have three spots on my left lung. My vocal chord has been affected to the point where I have trouble speaking.

At this time I am waiting for the doctors to decide whether to operate or do chemotherapy and radiation to kill the cancer cells.

I have wrestled with the decision to share with you or just not say anything. But, you are my friends and sharing is what friendship is all about. Somehow it helps me to talk with you about it.

I ask for your prayers. The Bible says that "prayer changes things", and I truly believe God's Word.

There is a verse in the Bible that means so much to me and I am standing on God's Word. It’s found in Isaiah 41:10:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I cannot say I am not scared because I am. Cancer is a scary name. But I know a name that is above all other names and that name is Jesus. Jesus is my savior and my friend and I trust Him with me. There is another verse in the Bible that is helping me right now. It says, "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you".

It’s really hard to give thanks when you are frightened, but I am trying. I think the hardest 7 words I have ever spoken to God are, "not MY will but THINE be done".

I believe in God’s healing power, I believe in miracles, but I also believe that He uses doctors.

I will keep you posted as I find out what I must do next. Knowing you are there and that you care helps me so much.

I have been doing some praying and thinking about the current state of affairs at what was Heritage USA. I have come up with some points to ponder. I claim these to be just my own personal opinions, and I DO NOT claim these words to be prophetic words from the Lord.

There could very well someday be a point in which everything that could ever possibly be said about what was PTL and the former Heritage USA will have been said. There isn't much news concerning what was PTL and Heritage USA, other than for the sale of some of the property at Regent Park, and then of course the shocking news that Tammy Faye Messner has lung cancer. Please keep that dear lady of God in prayer, as she has said the cancer is inoperable.

There are undoubtedly lots of people out there who really want to see Heritage USA revived. But at some point the talk is going to have to turn into action. Any restoration of the property must in God's timing and wisdom and not ours. I very much doubt that any group which would take on the restoration could restore it to the way it was under Jim and Tammy Bakker's leadership, nor should they. The window of opportunity appears to be closing more and more as every day passes. Eventually, the owners will have piece-mealed more and more of the property away that there will be nothing left for us or anyone to discuss.

Despite Jim and Tammy's shortcomings, I truly believe they were God's anointed to be carrying the mantle of leadership at Heritage USA and PTL. Yes, the argument could be made that Heritage USA was Jim's vision and Tammy was along for the ride. It's just so sad that when everything became public and Jim had his moral failure; things just started to collapse around them in one big hurry.

God has forgiven Jim and those who served with him, but its such a shame that his peers weren't so quick to forgive. I would agree with the point which was made before, it sort of boiled down to jealosy, etc. among Bakker's peers. Hardly Christ-like actions among certain people, who I will not name here, but God knows who they are.

Now we see the beautiful park that was Heritage USA just going further and further into ruin. I think that Morris Cerullo and his organization were on the right track when they tried to resurrect Heritage USA, but now it seems they don't want anything to do with it, as evidenced by INSP's apparent purchase of another site to build their new television studios and ministry center. As much as I hate to think about it, perhaps it would be the proper thing just to give what was Heritage USA a proper Christian burial. It seems there is no one who is genuinely interested in making a go of it.

The Third Day Revival/Revolution group that we have heard about can take a stab at it if they wish. However, for them or any organization, it will be a huge endeavor that's for sure. Sorry to ramble on like this, but I think perhaps the time has come that reality needs to be faced.

I realize that reality is often hard to think about. I have no intention of offending anyone. I would love to see Heritage USA reborn, but its just looking more and more doubtful. I fully intend to continue with our group and join with you in our prayer efforts.

You are speaking wisdom here. How does one know if Gods timing is ever going to be there? It seems that if the right person would come forward, whether it be Keith Smith or Morris Cerullo, they would need some sort of "inside track" or "inside Inoformation", along with funding inplace, and alot of fortitude to make this all work. It is a real estate transaction, and a tremendous renovation project together. Quite an undertaking for anyone or any group.- JT

Did anyone see Larry King tonight? Jim Bakker and his new wife were on, with a surprise video visit from Tammy Faye. She looks tired, but seems to be in good spirits.
Got a question for yall: Does anybody remember the Tammy Faye Show that was on the PTL Network? The one show that I remember really well was the one where a man was making a piano cake, and the icing was falling off and it was a grand mess! I laughed so hard!! I was wondering if there is a copy of that video somewhere that I could buy. If anybody finds out, I'd love to know! I always have loved Tammy's singing, but that one particular show would be a wonderful addition to my videos because it is such a happy memory!!
Am looking forward to talking to yall!!

Oh, yes. "Tammy's House Party." It was a daily feature on The Inspirational Network. Tammy's show was videotaped in front of a live studio audience and was shown weekday afternoons.

Her show was taped on the same set as the "Jim and Tammy" show. "Jim and Tammy" was televised live each weekday morning on The Inspirational Network and the tape of that day's show was shown later the same evening.

You may want to check e-bay, and search under Jim Bakker or PTL. I have seen a few videos for sale there over the past year. I purchased a large hard cover coffee table book on ebay called "The Heritage Ministry Church/ Jim and Tammy Bakker". It is a wonderful book, and was reasonably priced.- JT

It has been a while since I visited these sites and was wondering
what the lastest thing that was on people's mind. I am curious to
know who thinks Heritage will be restored. Not, if it is God's will,
I know it is God's will. I want to know your opinion on the good or
bad of the restoration of Heritage USA. Doesn't it excite you to know
that it is going to happen. Or maybe it frightens you. I don't know.
Both are valid sides to be on. One could reason either side. But what
do you sense God is about to do with the place. I believe you know
how I feel.

I want to take a moment to thank Keith Smith for responding to
the questions I posted the other day. I am also glad to see his group
is holding weekly meetings, and it certainly appears that he and his
group are serious about wanting to purchase the former Heritage USA
property and lead the restoration process.

In a potential transaction this large, it is quite understandable
that certain details cannot be made public up front.

It has been interesting to hear everyones opinions about the PTL property. I recently, 8/1/04, heard a news cast that said a big portion of PTL has been sold to Coulston Enterprises. FYI: for the Last 4 years a Church by the name of All Nations Church under the pastoral leadership of DR.'s Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda have owned 26 acres of what once was PTL property. They have an established church that meets on the grounds. They hold 5 conferences a year at their church and travel around speaking, teaching, and equipping the saints. Mahesh and Bonnie walk in signs a wonders and healings. They both have a very strong prophetic voice in our Nations today. Mahesh has several number one best seller books in the Christian circle. Bonnie has written an awesome book as well. I was able to find there website: www.maheshchavda.com.
I thought some of you might find this information valuable and interesting, seeing I didnt come across this information in any other members post in questioning the outcome of the land.

I for one do know about the " All Nations Church" and it's man and Wife Team, however I am not aquainted with them, mainly because...from what I have been told ( I emphasize been told) about their form of Worship and Doctrine I have had no desire to participate.

However it IS NO longer considered as being a part of the PTL grounds since the 26 acres was sold to the Organization now known as THE ALL NATIONS CHURCH.

That portion of Property was originally established for the purpose of HARVESTING HOMELESS MEN and helping them to find God and getting their lives on track and teaching them how to maintain some sembliance of self support which...gave them self respect.

The place is entirely separate from the Heritage USA Grounds even to the degree that it has ( one entrance, it's own ) and that can in NO WAY be construed as being on the grounds of Heritage USA, it is accessable ONLY from a Fort Mill Township Road which is approx. 1 1/2 miles South of the original Heritage USA entrance.

They DO NOT have a Conventional Church Building as such they have made modifications to the original buildings and use them for the purpose of small meetings, class rooms Etc. their conferences which you refer to are held in a super huge tent that is permantly erected.

So....Grace, the Church can in NO WAY be considered as being connected with the grounds of HERITAGE USA, and perhaps this will answer your question as to why it was never mentioned on the IDEA WEB SITE.

I respect your opinion. Did PTL own that portion which was then bought by the Malaysians? (Speaking of the area with the separate entrance) Yes, it is Land that had vision and dreams that is now being used for the Glory of the Lord. Bottom line.....whether some of us agree or disagree with doctrine that portion of land is being restored by people who are reverant before the Lord and who love and serve him. I read another members comment about no one really being able to restore Heritage to it original vision and dream for that land because of the magnitude of money it would intel. I agree with that. I believe the Lord is moving in the restoration but not in the way we want or think it should be done. We have to be careful not to mix our opinions or past expectation on the way it should be. I do however agree that this land is the Lords and is special, for some reason maybe not known to us. Its interesting that the Malaysians even sold the property to the Chavdas knowing that the intentions were for Christian use and a large church facility. Tammy Faye in seeking healing from cancer has sought out the Chavdas for prayer knowing the magnitude of anointing they walk in. I do know however they serve & worship the same living God we do. God is good all the time and his mercies are new every morning!

Yes, HERITAGE USA owned 2200 acres of property ( including the Property which now belongs to the ALL NATIONS CHURCH) when Satan and his IMPS managed to cut the props out from under it.

I personally am looking forward to seeing Rick Joyner be given a chance to do something great with whatever portion he may be able to purchase.

It is NOT my perspective to EVER see another Christian Resort such as Heritage USA was, I sincerely believe that the next one will be in HEAVEN not made or established by human hands, and where no person of ill repute can contribute her wares to deceive a man, and.....where no So-called Minister who professes to be a Brother in the Lord and wants to come in and help out for just a short period, and then.....steals the place right out from under God's People whom it belong to, and turns around and puts it into Bankruptcy, I truly believe there is a place called HELL that awaits for such people who do such unGodly things.

It has been said that I am Opinionated, to which I say...........IT IS MY GOD-GIVEN RIGHT!!
