Wow! I hardly recognized the place when I got home...so many buildings have been torn down and half million to million dollar homes and dwellings have been built, hardly anything that resembles the " Restoration of Heritage USA/ PTL," however....comning from Branson/Blue Eye Mo there appears to be a real Restoration of HeritageUSA/PTL in progress, It is truly amazing to see it all coming togather once again.

This place is simply a small City within a City now, I am sure Folks are going to be in for a shocker when they stop by thinking that Heritage USA/ PTL is being restored here, and it is NOT HERE!!

The two Ministries which are here seem to be moving forward with getting their Ministries established.

I think most everyone is well aware that the restoration which is taking place is in no way meant to completely duplicate the facilities which were available at what was Heritage USA. Morningstar Ministries appears to have taken the lead in the restoration of the core facilities; while Flames of Fire has been working on the old Barn Auditorium, the former television studio and the Total Learning Center.

Sorry Rick, but I am afraid that seeing as how you readily admit having never set foot on the property here, You know not of what you speak when you refer to the Grand Hotel ( The Main Street facilities being a part of it ) as being " THE CORE " of Heritage USA/PTL.

Flames Of Fire Ministries has " THE CORE " Facilities of the PTL Ministries, that being The Barn Auditorium/Total learning center, the Broadcast Studio, the Ampitheatre and the Upper Room. HIM has ONLY The Grand Hotel, Grand Towers ( which they are in dispute with York County concerning it's continued existence ) The OLD WAGON WHEEL RESTAURANT building and the OLD GENERAL STORE building and a few delapsedated " CHALETS/CABINS " plus one other unfinished building ( which WAS slated to have been a WENDY'S RESTAURANT ) to be known as " THE SAND CASTLE " along with ONLY the 52 acres these facilities set on.

Earl Coulston ( Coulston Enterprises ) still owns a small piece of property around the lake which he claims to be going to develope into a small Shopping Center plus the area where the Laura Ashley Warehouse WAS located along with the building that was the original PTL Exectutive building before the Pyramid Building became such, all the rest of the Property either has been or is being fully covered up with extremely expensive housing.

Rick, this is NOT criticism of your Post. You just need to GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT NEXT TIME. ( Like Just who Married Billy Graham's Daughter? )

Lady Star; I guess our northern jargon simply doesn't mix with the jargon you people use down south. Perhaps I should have said "central" rather than "core" facilities. That simply from my recollection of what I assume must have been the most visited parts of what was Heritage USA. The Upper Room, Barn Auditorium/Church/Total Learning Center, Heritage Grand/Main Street USA, the Waterpark and of course the Amphitheater and the television studio.

I am well aware that the area really doesn't resemble the original HUSA. The golf course and the homes that have been built in the Regent Park development truly have encroached on the location where the central attractions of HUSA were located.

I am aware that the castle was to be a Wendy's. As you know, I have become well acquainted through our Heritage USA group on Yahoo with a couple of key members of what was Jim Bakker's "inner circle." People like Don Hardister and Brad Bacon do take the time to correct me whenever I do slip up when talking about Heritage, PTL, etc. I have also personally met the Rev. Dr. Richard Dortch and his wife Mildred as well as the Rev. Sam Johnson.

However, Lady Star, I will graciously accept your comments and admonishment in the spirit that it was intended. If I have offended either you or anyone; I would ask that you please forgive me because it is never my intention to state anything that I know is not correct nor is it my intention ever to hurt anyone.

I knew Bacon before he was old enough to " walk a straight line " let alone any kind of circle not to mention an Inner Circle and Hardister.....Well he's a whole other story within himself.

As far as you meeting Rev. Dortch and his Wife Mildred, and Sam Johnson I have met Jimmy Carter and Wife, Ronald Reagan and Nancy, Gerald Ford and Betty however.....That does not make ME an Expert on Goverment Affairs but I would venture to say that WE talked more about that subject than YOU and Richard and Sam talked about the HISTORY OF PTL, We met on their TURF I didn't JUST bump into them at a Church Convention. You are not nearly as well connected as YOU would have Folks believe you are Rick, also....I might mention that I have many times met Colonel Sanders however...that does NOT mean that I can fry chicken like his!! So you therefore need to STOP dropping names see just how silly it sounds????

Beyond all that previously mentioned above most of your information past and present is very misleading to the uninformed reader because you have not seen ANY portion of the venue which you are continually trying to dispense information about. You are relying on hearsay skewered information people have written for profit in books or the other publications as well as SLANTED Media reports.

I'm looking for an ending line, so I reckon I will just quote you part of a line from an Old Gospel Song. " I WAS THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED SO I GUESS I OUGHT TO KNOW. "

Now let's cut with this NONSENSE and perhaps I will see you in Blue Eye, Mo someday, if we both happen to be there at the same time. maybe you can get some First Hand Information about THAT venue and not have to rely on " Hearsay "

If you think you can do a better job at getting out the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about what was Heritage USA, PTL, the Bakkers, etc. then by all means please do so.

In the meantime, I must say I don't appreciate your tone. What happened down there happened some 20 years ago. People's memories fade. We are only human beings. As hard as I try to present information that is accurate; I am in no way even remotely attempting to portray myself as an expert about the subject. That would be very presumptious of me, now wouldn't it? I freely admit that the information I share comes from sheer recollection and it is not meant to be taken as absolute gospel knowledge. That's why I'm so glad that I can count on people like Don and Brad who were there in the trenches and can correct me if I ever do get confused about HUSA.

From the way you describe the Blue Eye, Mo. project; this leads me to believe that somehow or some way you are directly involved with perhaps Jim and Lori Bakker's ministry in some capacity.

In any event, dear sister, I do forgive you in Jesus name. Never let it be said that I ever harbor any bad feelings about anyone. The least you can do is be civil and by all means if I goof; I want to know about it. That way I can correct what I have shared.

In response to the first paragraph of your most recent post/reply, " I absolutely can." The problem is you always want to dispute the REAL facts.

In response to your second paragraph the tone of the subject was supposed to be about the HERE and NOW. As Far as the THEN goes you say that you are relying on your " recollection " of the place 20 years ago well where were you 20 years ago?? Not HERE! ( never have been so you say ) As far as TRENCHES go do you have any tapes/footage of the Larry King programs during that period? If you do or can get some that will take care of one of the Trenchmen!!!! and the other one apparently does not have enough recollection to even remember " When " the Grand Hotel opened BUT this conversation is " Not About Them, " It's about you and your recollections OR lack thereof, which may account for so MUCH of Your Posted Misinformation

You say that you want to know about it when you " GOOF " so you can correct it we have see a lot of your "GOOFS" but very few corrections from you. OH!! back to paragraph 2 what's this line about..." There were more insiders than just Don & Brad. I would not call myself an insider but unlike ladystar who somehow was allowed on the property I was there in many of the planning meetings. No I never appeared on Larry King or Good Morning America or even quoted in the Charlotte Observer but I can tell you first hand that Jim often referred to the Grand as the "hub" for everything else even though it came long after the barn, studio, and most other things. Of course those comments were made during meetings that a certain person had no knowledge of. Or at least I don't remember seeing her there. The last master plan I saw had the Grand directly in the middle of everything else. I would call that the "core". It is sure the "core" of activity now. Jim was going to fill in his plan with private residences anyway so what's the big deal. Only I guess if you were not connected enough to really know what the plans for the property was going to be. If you think there are expensive houses there now, just think what it would have been. Instead of 100's of thousands it would have been millions. Course I doubt ladystar knew what the future of the Grand was going to be being she only lived nearby and knew a few people. Rick I would stay in the zones that have been ruled ladystar free. We appreciate your insite and understand where you are coming from.
