Hello there,

I'm looking for any newspaper articles on an alleged number of incidents that took place in California between 1975 and 76, concerning Carla Moran. The woman in question was the subject of a subsequent Hollywood movie called 'The Entity', made in 1981.

Carla Moran may be a fictitious name. If anyone can remember this story or knows any information on it, I would really like to hear from you. It is a subject of research i'm currently studying on a Parapsychology study course that I'm undertaking.

I don't think there ever were any newspaper reports covering that. Back then newspapers tended to shy away from this stuff more than they do now.

Omni magazine reportedly had an article on the case. If you aren't familiar with that publication, it was made by Penthouse publishing and covered UFO / paranormal / New Age / etc. topics. I say was because I think it no longer exists, but then maybe it does.

This article has been put on several websites, all without proper attribution and in violation of copyright laws, not too surprisingly. Here's one page:

According to that article, a photo taken during the investigation was in Popular Photography magazine, but it, of course, doesn't say when or if there was an article to accompany it. I can't imagine they'd do a full write up on some demon raping someone though, not really their style.

(I think it's funny that she dismisses sleep paralysis as an explanation because she claims the alleged victim was wide awake so couldn't be dreaming... uh, yeah, when you have hypnopompic and hypnogogic hallucinations you are in a dream state while being awake and paralysed, that's kind of the point, that's why it's so scary, and I speak from experience.)

Note that even the people who believe in the paranormal seem skeptical that Moran was really being raped by an unseen entity. They seem to want to call it free floating psychokineses or something.

From the descriptions it appears to me that we had a mentally disturbed woman and gullible investigators. But then I am always skeptical of these kinds of things.

Her real name is not Carla Moran, that was an alias used in the book to hide her real identity. Watch the video of the tv show Sightings circa mid 1990's on Ghosts/Hauntings. There is information in there on the case and about the people involved. Also, last I had heard, she had moved to Texas, and the attacks were still happening.

Only those few who are able to witness & discover the powers of the mind for themselves will realize that not only can this story be real but may start to get a good idea why it happened & who may have actually been behind it all. It it unlikely that it will make sense even if you get that far unless you are ready to accept the horrible truth.

ghosts, demons? I suggest you look elsewhere.

carla moran I am writing in response to the Carla Moran incident. I myself firmly believe that Carla was the victim of a paranormal attack. I myself have been attacked by entity's and paranormal behavior. Maybe everyone will think i'm crazy,but untill it happens to you please don't ever say never.

It jumped on me like a 2 ton weight I couldn't move or speak I could feel electricity at my hands and feet I was frozen in my bed I tried to scream but I couldn't .. I finally let out a scream "God Have Mercy on Me" ...and whatever it was let go of me.
the 2nd time I won't go into details but I seen its form and 2 others were with him , like red electricity. this is real and I found several message boards where others have experienced this same thing.

I believe you guys. I've always believed in ghosts. I've had minor vibes I guess you'd call them in a civic theater where I live but nothing like what you guys have described. I hope you guys can get rid of the forces doing this. Please keep me posted.

Just passing through. Thought you might be interested in this story.

When I was 19 my girlfriend told me she was being attacked by a ghost -- This was in 84. My friend and I had been involved in martial arts for several years -- specifically Shaolin -- and had been trained in meditation and chi (life force). We had been taught to feel our chi as well as the chi of others for use in self defense. We decided that a ghost must have chi and thought the two of us should be able to sense this ghost and get rid of it. We both thought she was full of crap, actually.

We walked around the house and felt nothing. She told me it only happens in her bedroom or bathroom, so we focused our attention there. Before long I started to sense something and so did my friend. We started trying to corner it in a large area and slowly moved together keeping the, whatever it was, between us. It seemed to be trying to get away from us once at first. Once it realized, seemingly, that we knew exactly where it was it kept shrinking away from us until we were right on top of it, at which time it dropped onto her bed. I think to throw us off since we couldn't walk through the bed. We looked at eachother a bit puzzled at its disapearance and started feeling over the bed. We caught it again and folled it right down to the matress. At this time I was thinking it had to be my subconscience somehow focusing on the bed since we hadn't had sex yet and that my friend was just going along with me.

As our hands got right down to the bed the outline of a person sunk into the neatly made bed. I mean you could bounce a quarter on this bed it was so perfectly made. I looked up at my friend at the same time that he looked up at me. I thought I was imagining things until I saw the blood run from his face and his jaw drop. I don't remember the stairs, I think we ran so fast we never touched a single one of them, but somehow we ended up downstairs again on the couch. We all discussed what we had seen. I, being a logical person to a fault, wanted to hear what everyone else saw because I thought it was possible I had just imagined it after all. There were five of us there that day and all five saw an unseen human form sink into that bed.

My girlfriend was never attacked again. I think we scared the thing away by showing it we had the ability to locate it and corner it.

I've had other experiences since then, as a witness not a victim, but I never tell anyone about them. Some of them are almost too much for me to believe myself.

This sounds exactly like a typical textbook example of a sleep paralysis incident.

This could be the hallucinations that sometimes occur alongside sleep paralysis. They usually form like a dream as a result of your impressions of the paralysis. Since earlier you described the sensation of partial movement in hands and feet as like electricity, it's not surprising that you later imagined up something that looked like electricity.

Don't go believing what some fantasy-prone people tell you about attacking spirits and other nonsense. These experiences are caused a common biological condition that is well understood by medical science.

I dont know if attacks are true or not, but I know one thing for sure.That is so called Dr.'s and scientist in this field and most things in general think they know everything about everything when they don't know ****! just like Dan!
