I saw the film, it was very cleverly well down. The book called The Entity and it makes it sound like a work of fiction according to the back of the book. Weather the names changed to protected the people involved is any ones guess.

I don't know about the "attacking spirits" in the Carla Moran story, but I can't totally discount the possibility because I do believe that weird paranormal events are a reality. That's because I have personal experience in my own family with "spirits/entities" annoying them in their homes. I'll summarize a couple of the more remarkable occurrences.

Several years ago, my son and daughter-in-law were bothered with strange goings-on in their apartment. They had one two-year old daughter. When showering, they would sometimes hear giggling and children's voices (not their child). Items in the apartment would disappear, later turning up in bizarre places (things like one bedroom slipper, the ibuprofen...reappearing somewhere like the top shelf of a closet). Their toddler spoke of a nonexistent playmate. Things in her room got unaccountably rearranged. They noticed that the apartment often felt very cold, for no apparent reason, and that the general atmosphere there felt oppressive somehow.

One evening while my son was at the computer, he turned around and saw a dark form standing by the bookcase. He stared at it, not particularly alarmed. He said the form then pushed books out of the bookcase and he had an impression that it actually grinned. He was unafraid, and the form dissipated and was gone.

Following the bookcase event, one night while they were sleeping, their child in bed with them, my daughter-in-law awoke to see what she described as a sort of swirling dark mass next to the bed. Her daughter giggled and poked her finger into the mass. She heard a sort of low chuckling sound, and then suddenly her daughter's leg flew up in the air like it had been yanked hard, and the child cried. The next morning there was a bruise on the child's leg.

Up until then, they had ignored the odd events, but this was too much. My daughter-in-law got ahold of a psychic of sorts that was well known in the community where they lived and this woman came to the apartment to "read" it. She immediately told my daughter-in-law that there were several entities in the house, and that she felt they were attracted to the energy of the child. She asked permission to touch the child and forwarned her that afterward the child would be very lethargic for a couple of days but she would not be harmed by it and it would pass. (I can vouch for the truth of that..I saw my granddaughter the next day and her eyes were like they were at "half-mast," and she was like that all day...I never saw her like that before or since.) Anyway, after the psychic touched the child, she told my daughter-in-law that most of the entities were harmless, but that one of them was a dangerous entity and "had never lived as a human." She said this one had been following my son around since childhood. She said the benign spirits were attracted by the child's energy, and that they were acting as a protective restraining influence on the other entity. She said she could tell that the other entity had been in the child's bedroom and that was not good. She said my son would have to be the one to get rid of this entity, and that he need only tell it, out loud, that it was not welcome and to leave.

The next day, when my daughter-in-law came home after shopping, she found all the kitchen cabinets standing open and items strewn about the kitchen, cereal spilled out on the floor, etc. She theorizes that the "spirits" might have been angry at her for allowing the psychic to touch the child, who then suffered from low energy the next day, and maybe the "spirits" even thought the child had been hurt by the psychic...I suppose if it was indeed the child's energy they were attracted to, this could make sense.

My son, though an avowed atheist and a total skeptic about things like ghosts and spirits, followed through nonetheless and told the entity to leave. Following that, they had no further occurrences in their apartment. Six years later, there have been no other strange events, so apparently this weird experience is over (thankfully).

Well, everyone can draw their own conclusions...I've already drawn mine: we don't know everything there is to know about the universe, and there are some strange things out there.

I can tell you that there is something else out there I myself have experienced many different paranormal experiences but the one that scared me the most was when i was woken by something sitting on top of me i couldnt scream or move i tried to push this thing off of me but i couldnt this thing had a pillow held hard and strong over my face and as fast as it came it was gone, i have seen and felt many unusual things in my life but this experience that happened to me only 4 yrs ago will never be out of my mind... Yes everybody has a rite to have there own beliefs but until something like this happens to you those sceptics out there will never understand or believe and for those that do believe i am rite there by ur side

I was just reading your comments, your looking at this in the wrong way!
It all comes down to do u believe in God or not!
If you don't then obviously you think all these people are mad and have so many mental issues. That for as long as you don't experiance anything and they stay away from you then your happy, moving along with your life, pretending that we are the most logical things in the universe and we came from a bang in space!
If you do believe in god and then it come to do you believe in the bible?
If you do and have (or do) read it, then you will see these are demons (not ghosts, things with unfinished jobs 2 do, there not the dead) Demons are not little monsters, they are just angels turned bad and most aren't with the devil, the devil is a powerful angel that wants to be god! Demons are the one's that do these attacks and they are the demons that have nothing else to do. there are many things you can do but it comes down to beliefs. Not all attacks or Entities will hurt you, i have seen with my own eyes, a lady that has a entity with her at all times and it folds and puts her clothes away when she irons and stuff but never hurts her.
It really comes down to what you believe, i feel sorry for this lady in Entity, because if she had got the right advice at the begging she would be alot better.
Anyone that wants to no more really because of fear, interest or having problems, talk to your nearest Jehovah Witnesses for honest advice without any signing up or contract.

Hi there everyone!

I just want to say to anyone that entities do not really trouble anyone or make them self present if you do not seek them. If you go looking for them they will appear cause you show them attetion, you charge its electro pulse through your seeking and communication and it responds and if you ever begin to fear it when you have called it, it will begin to enjoy the thrills of being demonic with you.
But if you do not fear it it will not be intrigued by you. the entity has no entertainment.
I have had very bad experiences with entities and i have have since turned away from trying to seek the truth through the means of paranormal activity.
I have experienced something i would never wish upon any soul, the sound of a gasp of breath of death and the the attempt of ripping my soul from my body was the life changing moment in my life.
I now believe as i have always done in one god. i dont think or look for presences with in my enviroment but walk forth with belief in myh hearty mind and soul that life i great and happy when you put pure faith in god.

dont go loking for the truth the way i did cause you just might see someting you never thought you woulkd see or even wanted to see.

I am a victim, and have had pain in my womb for about a year now...have had tests, not as much as i should have...but it still remains. I believe I have an idea of the circumstances in which it occurred, as I know I have sinned. But I believe in angels, kindness, freedom, love...I give so much love...however, trust I am not so sure, and I am only learning to truly love someone, as a partner. I have had bad experiences with the paranormal also many good ones. I have tried to rid spirits from my body, and I saw a lot of them leave, but yet they still returned. As the pain is growing in intensity. I beleive god is in everything that exists, and I appease to the goodness of the spirits heart and ask them to find peace and love and move on.
I have seen them since I was a child and have been able to communicate with the dead. I experience horrible visions of rape the victims. It happens once a month, I am in the rapists body then in the victims, I smell hear fell it all, and I am left so empty...I dont know how to get rid of them all...I beleive that i am protected and only god has my soul, but when u are sensitive such things it is very hard to turn off. I dont fear death as noone should we are endless beings of light and love from the creation of our father. the father and mother live inside us...
I find god in the beauty of nature the whistle of a bird the gorgeous painted skies...
It frightens me this pain, I call to god and the angels, Iuse to feel them see them so clearly
Now i feel I have been hexed sometimes i close my eyes and go into were the pain is coming from, and i see a fire and pentagram...how do i stop them eating at me.
