aol-the third reigh

aol does not allow non subscribers to view profiles and also limits them in other ways not yet named by this board. why? b/c they can, they are the third reigh of internet communication and furthermroe probably wish to have a monopoly over other ISP's but they cant b/c they suck too much and ppl get kicked off all the time.

Wait, so aim users CAN look at AOL members' profiles by signing in AIMexpress and trying to view them?? I tried this and it said "no user information" ...was this just because my AOL buddy just really did have no information or because I was on AIMexpress and trying to look at an AOL profile, which I couldn't have done anyways...???

www.aol-profile.com

I had been googling the subject, finally found a place that works. Web based script, no subscription or login required.

May be time to update your faq.

About 70% of the time, that site seems to say 'your request exceeded 3 seconds'.

Another 20% of the time, it seems to mangle the profile, or only give half.

I suppose it's worth mentioning in the FAQ, but I seriously doubt it'll be around long.

May be AOL needs to know about this site.

That way u won't need to change the FAQ ?

What is "first va"? If you have AOL, you can go to Keyword: MEMBER DIRECTORY and do a search. For more search options, click "Show Advanced Search".

Hope that helps.
