Ok i have an AOL account right, but i used my AOL SN on AIM 2. The reason is that i 4got the passwrds to my othrs. Wen i go to Aim.com looking for my passwrd it says that i should use a different server or w/e and im confoosed. does neone no how to fix this?????????

I need help w/ AIM.....My parents cancelled the AOL account and I didn't know it. I already had AIM using my AOL screen name. All I want is my buddylist because I can make another screenname. Does anybody know if they can send my buddylist through e-mail??

Someone just showed me this post... and it is really true. I cancelled in June thinking I would be able to save my SN for AIM. Guess not, it kept on giving me Sign On Blocked on AIM and when I tried to register on www.aim.com, it showed up as being used by user.

I even waited 6 months to see if AOL would release the account, but no go. They freeze the accounts for much longer now I was told by the representative, its not forever, but it is longer than 6 months. Im guessing 1-2 years.

So now they "offer" a $4.95 plan to activate your old account and do what you wish, just not use the AOL program itself. Web access for email, and AIM.

Basically they have me by the B@LLS. I had my SN for over 6+ years, its worst than losing a cell phone number.

What would happen if I sign up for the free AOL trial crap.

And then I delete that screenname from the account?

And then sign up for it using AIM.

I used to have AOL but my dad cancelled it because we got Comcast Internet Cable. Now when i try to go on it won't let me because i was a previous AOL user. I have the same screen name on AIM and AOL. I don't know how to fix this! So PLEASE help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont understand! why do they suspend aim screen names? does anyone know of any way of finding my buddy list once weve already cancelled aol?

When an unknown username pops up and starts talking to me on AOL messenger, is there a way to find out who that screen name belongs to? I have already tried people search.

Try aimexpress.com, that's all I can think of, though. Maybe you can access your old buddy list there.

how do you get your own sound file to appear on other peoples screen? i found out where but can only use aols.
