Convert Current AOL Account to FREE one?
I've got an AOL account that I only access with a Web browser via my own ISP.
It's just a $5/month account. This allows unlimited Web access and, I think, 3 hours per month via access using AOL's software. All I'm keeping it for is my specific email address. Recently, however, AOL has started GIVING AWAY Web only AOLl access (email, aim, etc) for FREE. Is there any way to convert this to a Free account?? If I cancel.....then sign up via the free part of their Web site....my address will be unavailable for at least a few months...canceled addresses are held in reserve - I risk loosing it all together. Thanks |

I'm pretty sure there's no way to convert this over the way you want. Essentially, the AOL services (that you access through the AOL client program) is different from any sort of offer they make on the AOL.COM website. Both may offer very similar things, but they are definitely a different service.
