I designed a stand alone server ( for all windows versions) where you can host your own infinite profiles..
Located at www.fatalgrounds.com

AIM Profile Server.. Enjoy =)

Help...im confused!

Ive gotten to the htm folder called info and i clicked on it and it took me to a web page where i could change absolutley NOTHING! so i went back to the folder and right clicked and selected edit. then it took me to microsift word where i edited my profile and saved it then i exited out of everything (this whole time AIM was not on dont worry) and THEN i went into AIM and looked at my profile but it was blank. I did this a few times but the same thing happened. so then i tried to go edit my profile using AIM and it told me again (as always) that what i wanted to put in there was too big. .......im lost and dont know what i did wrong. I have windows XP home edition so i thought that maybe that made a differance plus i have never used HTML before so maybe it was something i did? i need help! please help me!

You can go in and edit your info.htm file, and what you do there will show up in your AIM profile. There is, however, another file that makes it cut off at 1,024 characters regardless. You could change this file to make it allow more characters, but only YOU could view the extra parts. Sucks, doesn't it?

ummm.. not to flame you or anything but the whole point in wanting to lengthen the profile is so your viewer doesnt have to clikc a link. i havent found a way, even if yuo edit info.htm it doesnt work, i think you have to edit some hex for the aim profile browser, but i dont know.

there has to be a way to do it.....all those AIM viruses somehow add to the end of the profile and manage to go over the limit...my guess is you have to alter packets

Ok. I know its been FOREVER since I checked this.
1) No, it is impossible to make your AIM profile longer without a link. There once was an exploit, AIM fixed it.
2) I realize this may be confusing for some people to use.
So, let me make this easier to understand: (example)
Make a new text (or html) file on your desktop. Open that file, put w/e u want to be ur profile. (In HTML coding).
Lauch AIM Profile Server, goto preferences. Now select that txt (or html).
Add the link in that window to your normal profile..
Bam. Thats it.

TJ-BS is right, and listen to B'man, otherwise you are all screwed without those stand alone servers. I did have a question though after linking to an external htm my text is a little different than the original htm file. Some of my text isn't bolded and theres an extra space between words in every line, any ideas why?

Do A Search Like This...

<style type="text/css">.dothis {font: normal 10pt/normal Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-transform: capitalize;}</style>
<font class="dothis">
<p>to find the file "<strong><em>Info.htm</em></strong>", use The Following Search
Options (on XP Home/Pro Edition)</p>

<p><u><strong>Search</strong></u><br />
