why can i not change my aim triton profile my computer freezes every time i try to open it ?

alright people these are the pure instuructions:::::



1. Go to Start
2. Click on run
3. Type in (without ") "C:\Documents and Settings\" (with the spaces)
4.When the window comes up click on your user name on the computer(EXAMPLE: John Smith)
5.When that windows comes up click on Application Data
6.Then click Aim
7. Then click on the screen name you want to edit the profile
8. right Click on the internet Explorer icon with "info" as its name, and click open with> Notepad
9. Edit away!





-ok i did that all the way untill number 6. when i get there, "AIM" isn't a chocie.
please help mee.

Under the edit menu click edit buddy profile and then this screen will appear thats blank and all you have to do is typ what you want your buddies to c.

ok, you go to ur buddy list and at the very top left hand upper courner,theres a box that says "my aim".u clic it and the 5th one from the top is it.clic it.a box will pop up and it says for example:ipodzgrl-create a profile-searchable directery.the right hand bottom courner says cancel.next to it theres a button:next.clic it.now it says for example:ipodzgrl-create a profile-chat interests.the bottom right hand courner says cancel.next to it is next.clic it.then the next thing has ur area for making a profile.
