buddy list help

Hey, I need some help. Whenever i try to add someone or delete someone from my buddy list, it'll do it for about 30 seconds. Then it will tell me that One or more of the additions or modifications to your Buddy List were not able to be saved. Why does it do this, and how can I fix it?????

Re: buddy list help

is there a way to get rid of the advertisements at the top of your buddy list?

What incentive would AOL have to keep giving you 'free' service, then?

AIM buddy list error too

I am also getting this error:

"One or more of the additions or modifications to your Buddy List were not able to be saved."

Anyone know how to fix it?

If I save my buddy list, sign up for a new AOL name, and then import that buddy list, I get the same error when trying to add someone again.

I've also checked the MAX users on my buddy list in the registry. It was set to 220, and I have 195. I changed it to 250 anyway just to test, and it didn't help.

help!

Hmmm... I wonder if the buddylists on AIM are now being based on the number of characters, not the number of names. The buddylists on AOL were always set up like that...

If that's the case, then you'll run out of room faster if your buddies have longer names, etc. This would make sense to me.

For the record, the registry setting for Max buddies hasn't worked since AIM 3.0, so no point there.

buddy list

Its definitely related to my 195 buddies. If I remove one, I can add one.
I guess 195 is my max for whatever reason.
sux.
