where can i go to get free dead aim. I really dont wanna pay, it only costs like 5 bucks but to me I think that since AIM doesnt cost anythign neither should dead aim....

So because you dont want to spend the $5 and don't feel they should charge, you're saying that you have a right to illegally steal a copy of the program?

Nope, there is no legal way to get DeadAIM for free. Like everything in life you can steal it like others have talked about, as one can steal a car and get it for free. Like anything there are serious consequences for illegal actions, so your best bet would be to pay the $5 and download it legally.

My buddy just burned me a copy of Deadaim and with it came a crack to the program. I was looking to see if there was a legit way to get it free, but from what ive read on this thread, it doesnt look like thats the case.

My friend doesn't share the same convictions that I do about stealing programs. I used to steal a bunch of programs, i record music for bands and that software gets expensive, its really easy to justify stealing the software, i could list off classic excuses (a lot are in this short thread alone) but the bottom line is that it is stealing no matter what way you look at it.
If you take something that doesnt belong to you no matter what the value is, it is stealing. Even if this guy charged a million dollars or two bucks for the program, it doesnt matter, becuase in your heart you have decided to take what isn't yours.
You know it is wrong to steal.

This is where my convictions have come in. I look at the ten commandments.

If I have stolen once what does that make me? It makes me a thief, just like if I murder someone it makes me a murderer. It doesnt matter how long ago I did it, time does not forgive sin. It doesnt matter how many times I did it. How many times do you have to murder to become a murderer?

If I have lied once then I am a liar.
If I have lusted after a women then according to Jesus, I am an adulterer at heart.

I was guilty of all of those and I just looked at three of the ten commandments! (I have broken them all btw) So, yes I was a lying adlutering theif.

Thou shalt not murder. I thought I was safe from that one, but Jesus said that hatred for someone is considered murder.

I knew if I died, that I would be judged by the ten commandments and I would have been guilty.

You might say to yourself "well I know that God is good and he will overlook my sins when it comes time for me to be judged"

If someone raped and killed your mother, dont you think that that person should be punished for what he has done? If the judge let him free, justice would not be done! God is just, and he must punish people who break His law. Justice isn't always done in this life, but on the day of judgment God will not let murderers and rapists go unpunished, and he wont stop there, he will punish all liars, theifs and adulterers as well. The penalty for breaking just one of the ten commandments is death in hell. (the wages of sin is death Romans 6:23)

You might think that God would let you go unpunished becuase, after all, your not as bad as most people. But actually, God's goodness is the very thing that will send you to hell.
If you where on trial for committing a crime and you said to the judge "your honor, I know that you are a good man and you are just, so therefore you will let me go free" The judge would say to you, "you are right, I am a good man and I am just, thats why I will see to it that you pay the penalty for what you have done"
If the judge let you go, he wouldnt be a good judge, he would be a corrupt judge!

The judge could however let you go, if, and only if your penalty was paid for. If somone stepped in and paid your fine for you then the law would be satisfied and the law would have no dominion over you. You could be set free or you could pay the price yourself.

God has done this for you.

2000 years ago, Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day, so that you don't have to be judged by the ten commandments.

Haha, it's not easy to program an AIM add on. America Online had so much hacking and illegal cracks on it in the beginning that they quit using C++ to program the material. They created their own programming language, and it takes either one dedicated programmer, or somebody working for AOL to program something like Dead AIM. I think he deserves the money. $5 isn't much. Besides, if you don't support the people that make the thing you enjoy, they'll go out of business and quit making better products. So if you love it, buy it!

i do think it would be nice not to charge for dead aim. he wasn't charging for it for a short time. It's one of those questions that is such a thin line between should or shouldn't.

I could really go into, and I'd like to because I love a good argument. But that's not really why I wanted to post...

I think although I'd very much like for it to be free, it's not that big of a deal that...well u guys all got very carried away. I mean, it's just a program and the only reason you're invovled is whether or not you are going to download it at a price or not. Personally, I'm going to keep looking until a find one that is free, but if you don't then don't download. It only costs 5 bucks...and u could probably use a check card if you aren't old enough for a credit card considering that most check cards have visa or some other form of credit.

oH no but now I'm going into that again, aren't I? hahaha
