Help. any hope? Need to recover buddy list!

Just found this forum, nice people here. I recently canceled AOL. Yes, I knew I'd lose the names even with AIM. But my main problem is losing a buddy list from a screen name. I shoulda backed it up, but didn't

To get to my question, is there possibly a way to extract or recover my buddy list from one screen name? Both AOL and AIM are still installed, if that helps.

Much thanks in advance. Peace!

I have an idea, Im not sure if it will work for you. If you are using AOL 8.0+, open the program. Then create a new email. In the "TO" field type the letter A. On mine, even without being signed on, it lists all the buddies on my buddy list that have the letter A. Then try B, C, and so on. This is a long shot, and I think its safe to assume the account is deleted, but the information is kept within AOL, as I haven't even signed on to get the lists.

Hope that helps

Man, clever idea. It's a little time consuming, but now I can get my sister off my back for canning AOL.

Thanks a bunch Mat.
