cannot sign into my aim after setting up my router

I just got my router set up yesterday, everything else is working fine, except for my aim... I tried to log in so many times...but I kept getting a message about my buddy list was not lost, but I need to sign on later...after waiting for few hours...i signed in again, and it finally worked...but i was only on for about an hour and got kicked off again....the process started..over...

i know it's got something to do with my router because when i unplugged my router and just plugged from my pc directly to my modem...my aim worked properly...soo..now..i don't know what i should do...my friends have routers too, but their routers didn't interefere with their aim........I'm seeking for help...

You might try updating your router's firmware. Some of the older firmwares don't do too well with AIM and other IM programs.
