I tried the jayloden link as well.. but i think this is a new virus so those steps do not work for me.
I clicked on my friends away message that said something like "I made a screensaver, make your own, click here..." After I clicked it I realized it was a virus. Please help me to delete this!!!!! ![]() |

new virus that i cannot fix
hello i am new and i have some weird AIM virus. At any random time a site will pop up called -[Security]- and my away message will change to new pr0file (virus site begins with www.angelfire). This happens pretty randomly and i have tried everything to fix it. Can anyone help me?

Screensaver Virus
I also have a virus about a screensaver in my away message. (below) It replaces other away messages if I have them up, and also randomly pops up while I am not away.
i just made a screensaver! everyone check it out virus url removed by admin click open to see it!! ^that one. I've tried a few different things to get rid of it... including uninstalling and reinstalling AIM, even getting a new screen name, and nothing seems to work. If anyone knows a way to get rid of it or some link I can use... that would be great. (I already tried the ones posted earlier in this thread) thanks. Last edited by AMJones : 08-29-04 at 10:23 PM. |

Hey guys, its called Norton Antivirus... exept its $30 dollars, but it could probably get rid of your viruses, and if it's spyware, get Webroot Spy Sweeper. If you have AOL, then use their free spy zapper and computer check up programs. hope this helps.

Fanboy apparently isn't too bright. Norton doesn't do jack for this... it's easy to get around for this issue. HiJack This is the only program that led me to my problem. Even Ad-Aware couldn't find it.
