in my opinion, i think you should be able to delete AIM accounts so other people can use them. there are a lot of good screen names out there that are either never used or suspended. what a waste!!

I've been told by folks "in the know" that eventually names that aren't used automatically delete. Sounds likely, so it just may be true.

Just a shot in the dark here, but wouldn't your previous AIM screen names be untraceable if one were to uninstall AIM from his or her computer, then re-install it, and just get a new screen name? Someone wouldn't be able to find out information about a screen name that never gets signed back onto, would they? Just an idea.

I think that you should be able to delete your own aim account because me personally dont like aim and thats why i want to delete my account because i dont like their service!
