hotmail page won't come up
When I type in hotmail.com is automatically goes to loggin.passport.com and the screen turns white. At the bottom of the screen it says "done" but the sign-in page doesn't appear. This started last night...was working just fine before that. Any suggestions or is this a hotmail problem?

Try emptying your temporary internet files, for starters. To do that, open Internet Explorer, then click Tools > Options > General > Delete Files. It will probably take a minute or so to complete, and may look like it's freezing up while it's doing so. Just let it be.
After that give the site a try. If you are still unable to get there, try resetting your security settings. To do this, open IE and click on Tools > Internet Options > Security > Default Level. One of the two of those should get you in. Oh, and stop using Hotmail. ![]() |

hotmail
That happened to me once a few weeks ago. Just try and log in via MSN or .NET because they're all linked together. It's much easier to get to hotmail once you're logged in. I just went to google and searched for .NET passport and it took me right to the sign in page.

I have the same exact problem. It's been like this since sept. 4, the way that I finally got it to work but it's really annoying is to go to hotmail.com and sign in the usual way (do not click save password) after the blank screen comes up, retype www.hotmail.com in the address bar and it should work. I still want it to work normally though. Anyone know what's wrong?

Both of you, welcome to TIW!
If you look around the forum a bit, you'll notice a long thread with 88 posts on it titled "Hotmail log-in page comes-up blank! ." I'd suggest reading through that thread, and seeing if that helps solve your problem! Let us know how it goes! |

I've tried that and nothing in there seemed to help.

Here's the URL for it: Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, and Windows NT 4.0 Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP If you did install that, also try getting all of the windows updates from the update site. If you still have an issue, post what version of Windows and IE you are using, and I might have more suggestions. |

AM Jones, I saw that in another thread you said to get ad-aware and spybot. I have both of those programs and I'm still having problems. I called MSN and they said that have no idea. I also called my isp (Verizon) and they said that it's not the internet connection and to call MSN.

Pablo, unfortunately, fixing problems isn't an exact science and what may fix something for one computer may not fix it for another. Fixing computer problems takes time, patience, and communication. If you've literally tried "everything", then I guess your problem can't be fixed.
However, if you haven't tried everything, here's another suggestion. See if this problem still happens using a different web browser, such as Opera, or Firefox. |

Another alternative is to try a web browser other than Internet Explorer to access Hotmail. |

I try the update button each time I go and check for spyware and I don't have any other browsers but Internet explorer.
